Design processes vary from project to project, but essentially the design process comprises three stages: Research, concept development and implementation. Typically, the challenge at hand determines which types of activities are employed in the subsequent stages. A key factor for the design process is to ensure a research stage that is explorative, open and user-involving with the purpose of making sound and goal-oriented decisions throughout the process.
